How to Do Daily Maintenance for Dust-Sand Test Chamber

Proper maintenance keeps your dust-sand test chamber running stably. Check tips for chamber body, vacuum pump, fan and consumables to extend service life and ensure reliable IP5X & IP6X test results.

Dust-sand test chamber is essential equipment to conduct IP5X and IP6X dustproof tests for electronic products, outdoor lighting, smart watches and automotive components. Long-term stable operation of the dust-sand test chamber relies on scientific and regular daily maintenance. Good maintenance can avoid unexpected downtime, guarantee consistent and accurate test results, and greatly extend the service life of your machine.
For the chamber body, clean the inner cavity after each test. Remove residual sand and dust deposited on the inner wall and sealing strips. Check door seals regularly for cracks or aging; damaged seals will cause sand leakage and affect the reliability of dust testing. Keep the outer cabinet dry and dust-free to prevent corrosion.
The vacuum pump is a core component. Check its oil level and oil quality every week. Replace the vacuum pump oil following the recommended cycle. Dirty oil will reduce pumping efficiency and may damage the pump. Inspect the fan regularly, clear dust buildup on fan blades. A blocked fan leads to poor circulation and uneven dust concentration inside the test room.
Do not ignore consumables. Sand media will gradually become fine and agglomerate after repeated testing. Replace the test sand on schedule to keep test conditions compliant with IEC 60529.
Build a simple maintenance log to record inspection and replacement time. With standard daily care, your dust-sand test chamber can maintain stable performance for years and deliver trustworthy IP dust test data for your product certification.
